iSoft finance boss barred

Banned and charged costs

iSoft's former finance boss Ian Storey has been barred from practising as an accountant, and therefore as a finance director, for eight years after admitting charges of false accounting.

Storey admitted that he gave false and misleading information to iSoft’s former auditors in relation to a supposed iSoft contract several times between November 2003 and November 2005.

A complaint was made by the Accountancy and Actuarial Discipline Board and taken to Tribunal. The full Tribunal report is not being released because of ongoing criminal proceedings against other iSoft directors. That decision will be kept under review.

Storey must also pay £20,000 costs.
