At this end of the price spectrum, the battle is between the Samsung WB1000 and F200EXR. Both offer very similar performance and build quality, and while the Samsung is arguably superior when it comes to the latter, the similarity in image quality means those searching for a compact camera with a proper manual mode should save £20 and plump for the Fuji. ®
