If it's focal length you want, the Ricoh CX3 offers the same telephoto reach as the Nikon S8000, and for £50 more you get much better controlled purple fringing and slightly sharper images. The Ricoh is slightly harder to use, but gets the thumbs-up for combining image quality and long lens performance. ®
