Sony Ericsson intros Flac friendly music phone
New Walkpersons announced
Sony Ericsson has extended its new 'give phones names not numbers' approach to nomenclature to its Walkman line, introducing the Zylo and Spiro.
Sony Ericsson's Spiro: music maestro?
Both phones are sliders and sport the usual Walkman track controls around the navpad. Both do A2DP Bluetooth stereo audio, have RDS FM radios and feature Sony Ericsson song-spotting Track ID technology.
The Zylo has a 2.6in, 240 x 320 display, 3.2Mp camera and dual-band 3G HSDPA connectivity. The Spiro is a 2.5G phone with a 2.2in, 240 x 320 screen and a 2Mp camera.
Taking Flac: Zylo
Zylo is Sony Ericsson's first phone to support the Flac lossless audio format, though since the handset will accepts Micro SDHC memory cards of only 16GB or less, it's not going to be holding libraryfulls of Flac tracks.
Both phones will go on sale in Q3. Sony Ericsson did not state prices. ®
