Vodafone confirms Google Nexus One availability, pricing
Not as a cheap as HTC Desire
Vodafone will put Google's Nexus One smartphone on sale on Friday, 30 April, the cellco said today.
It also said it has begun taking advance orders for the handset, though it admitted these may not be fulfilled until 5 May.
The Nexus One will be free if you take out a two-year contract with a monthly payment of at least £35 - or £40 if you only want to be tied in for 18 months. No shorter contracts are available.
The rates are £5 more than the equivalent deals on the HTC Desire, a handset that's to all intents and purposes the same as the Nexus One - though there have been claims that not all apps that run on the Nexus One work on the Desire.
Both handsets have a a 1GHz processor, 3.7in, 480 x 800 touchscreen, 5Mp camera, Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity, GPS and more. ®
