WD ships storage to the Macs
Apple fans brought to MyBook
Specially designed to look at home in a family of Apple products, the new My Book Studio LX external hard drive from industry pioneer WD hit the market this week.
Using WD SmartWare software, the device offers automatic continuous backup and comes with 256-bit hardware-based encryption.

Featuring Firewire 800 and USB 2.0 interfaces, the drive also stakes a claim to reduce carbon footprints with special technology to lower power consumption and "planet-friendly packaging".
Available now in the US, the My Book Studio LX drives are formatted for Mac and come in 1TB and 2TB sizes for $200 and $270. UK pricing and availability has yet to be set. ®
