Rockstar reveals Red Dead refreshments

Wild West wannabes who can't get enough of the highly rated Red Dead Redemption, will be pleased to know new features are on the way.

Following the recent release of the Free 'Outlaws to the End' co-operative mission pack, Rockstar has announced four downloadable packs containing new games, maps, characters and much more.

The first pack, 'Legends and Killers' features nine new multiplayer maps, eight new multiplayer characters and a new projectile weapon, the Tomahawk, which comes with corresponding challenges for single player and multiplayer.

You can have the lot, including new achievements or trophies, for $10 (£7) or 800 Microsoft points, downloadable from PlayStation Network and Xbox Live sometime in August.

Three more packs are to follow, culminating in 'Undead Nightmare', released sometime in the Autumn. That should keep you on your feet for a while.. or horseback in this case.

If that's still not enough and you're feeling especially competitive, Rockstar are hosting a series of multiplayer events between now and September through their Social Club. Get mingling. ®
