2G Apple TV hack tool goes public
aTV Flash beta released
FireCore has issued the first beta release of its second-generation Apple TV hacking tool, aTV Flash.
Dubbed aTV Flash (black), the tool opens up the Apple TV to install extra apps and remote access tools.
The beta release slots in a web browser, Last.fm support, a Plex client and an Apple TV-hosted updater.
FireCore charges $20 (£13) for this, though it'll go up to $30 (£19) when aTV Flash (black) is completed.
Of course, enterprising hackers can save themselves the cash and do the job themselves using reaily available tricks and tools - take a look at Awkward TV first. ®
