Acer outs low-cost Androids
One for business, one for pleasure
CES 2011 Acer roster of Android smartphones grew by two handsets this week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), one a compact affair for ordinary punters, the other a more sober Qwerty keyboard BlackBerry wannabe.
The Liquid Mini is a mere 110 x 58 x 13mm and 109g in size and weight, but packs in a 600MHz Qualcomm processor, 5Mp camera, 3.2in, 240 x 320 capacitive touchscreen, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, an FM radio with RDS, 3G connectivity and 512MB of Ram.

Extra storage comes courtesy of Micro SD - there's a 2GB card bundled with the phone.
Aimed at yoof, the Mini comes in a choice of five bright colours and is pre-loaded with a Facebook and Twitter integration app amusingly called Social Jogger.
The BeTouch E210, as its name suggests, is a more business-centric phone, with a 2.6in display, 3.2Mp camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and 3G.

Acer has equipped it with Android 2.2, which is what the Liquid Mini runs.
The E210 will be available in the UK in March, with the Liquid Mini arriving a month later. Acer didn't say how much either handset - both of which will be sold unlocked - will cost. ®
