Britain's biggest reseller Computacenter is jumping on the cloud bandwagon.
Computacenter cloud computing, or C3, starts with an email offering.
The reseller stressed that many companies want to adopt a step-by-step approach to cloud computing, and that most businesses see email as the most obvious first business process to send cloudwards.
A survey of 150 decision makers by Computacenter found 99 per cent of them were concerned about risks, service levels and functionality, even though three-quarters were certain that moving to cloud services would save their companies money.
C3Mail will be the first of many services offered in this way. Computacenter already manages 1.2 million email inboxes and deals with 150,000 migrations a year.
The company said that collaboration and virtual desktop products would be added to C3 later this year. ®
