Microsoft says exec took secret 'trove' to Salesforce
Claims 'immediate and substantial injury'
Microsoft is claiming a CRM executive who defected to Salesforce.com took hundreds sensitive documents to its cloudy competitor.
The company has filed legal documents saying former Dynamics CRM general manager Matt Miszewski left Microsoft with a "trove of materials" on his PC.
The "trove" amounted to 25,000 pages of confidential and proprietary Microsoft information, which worked out at 900 separate files and weighed in a 600MB.
The information included documents Miszewski had helped write on the company's strategy and tactics for cloud based CRM in the public sector in 2011.
Microsoft claims Miszewski lied when he told the company that he took only personal items with him after resigning on December 31, 2010. He started work as senior vice president of global public sector for Salesforce on January 18 this year.
Microsoft is seeking an injunction stopping Miszewski working at Salesforce ahead of a trial. The company said Miszewski's work threatens it with "immediate and substantial injury". Microsoft won a temporary court order stopping Miszewski working at Salesforce in January.
Microsoft said Miszewski broke the terms of his employee confidentiality agreement by keeping the documents "in addition to confirming his access to significant confidential and competitive information."
