A Covent Garden designer ice cream parlour has earned itself a bust from Westminster council for punting potentially life-threatening breast milk ice cream.

Municipal operatives relieved Icecreamists of its Baby Gaga blend of jub juice, vanilla pods and lemon zest, the Evening Standard reports.

Brian Connell, Westminster's cabinet member for business, explained: "Following two complaints from members of the public and concerns from the Health Protection Agency and Food Standards Agency, our officers visited the premises and removed all ice cream being sold as containing breast milk.

"Selling foodstuffs made from another person's bodily fluids can lead to viruses being passed on and in this case, potentially hepatitis."

Icecreamists founder Matt O'Connor insisted he'd taken "every possible precaution" to ensure the chilled treat didn't leave customers with a nasty taste in their mouths.

He said: "Our donor was screened at a leading medical clinic and then the ice cream mix is fully pasteurised. We have had a fantastic response and 200 women have come forward and offered to give us milk."

O'Connor, 44, threatened to mount a protest if Westminster decides to ban Baby Gaga. He probably means it, if his previous form as head of action group Fathers 4 Justice is anything to go by. ®
