Cute download Firefox, 'treat a cub' vid downed by IE glitch
Red hot panda action, live!
Mozilla is trying to encourage more people to download the final beta of its soon-to-be-released Firefox 4 browser by streaming various web cams capturing red panda cubs in captivity at Knoxville Zoo in Tennessee.
The only trouble being that one of the live feeds from the zoo has "encountered" an unfortunate Internet Explorer problem, so visitors to the site are currently unable to gain access to the "snuggle" cub cam.
"We're streaming cuteness. We're dedicated to doing good. We're out to make the web a better place. Thank you for supporting Mozilla Firefox," reads a statement on the FirefoxLive.org site.
But while the furry cubs appear to be extremely cuddly, it's hard to ignore the fact that Mozilla is apparently running the live feed via its rival browser, Microsoft's Internet Explorer. All of which strikes us as more than a little bit odd. ®
