Video in the workplace: stuff that works

No more false dawns

Webcast Video collaboration has seen plenty of false dawns. Companies have all bought videoconferencing systems for the board that didn't get used, struggled to find a use for the video cameras on our laptops and waited for the promise of video phones to be delivered.

But do the technologies, the standards and the networks we have today change the picture? Many big companies using video in the workplace already think so.

Cisco’s Nick Sheppard joined The Register’s Tim Phillips and FreeForm Dynamics' Dale Vile to discuss the latest developments.

Click here to watch the three explore how video conferencing can transform the way you work. They go through its past technologies, practical user experiences and speak up about what’s changed to put teleconferencing back on the agenda.

The Regcast ‘Video in the workplace’ is available free on demand now.
