Vote now for the juiciest LOHAN backronym

You have the final say on our spaceplane project name

Reader poll The El Reg Special Projects Bureau has wasted quite enough time faffing about with the name of our audacious high altitude, helium-assisted ballocket adventure, so it's time to nail this one once and for all.

To recap, our plan is to launch a rocket-powered composite aircraft from beneath a helium balloon at a not inconsiderable height, and then have it guide itself back to terra firma using an onboard autopilot system. Some refer to such projects as "rockoons": we prefer the term "ballocket".

Our artist's impression of how the Vulture 2 might look

Simple as that, so we just need to get the backronym sorted, and we can get back to the fab bunker. The project is already dubbed LOHAN, so here are your five backronym options:

Launch Of High Altitude Nanoplane
Lightweight Observational High Altitude Navigator
Low Orbit Helium Assisted Navigator
Low Orbit High Altitude Navigator
Low Orbit Highly Autonomous Navigator

Please note that once the poll results are in, the matter is closed. Any attempt to skew the vote will provoke immediate action by the Special Projects Bureau's Black Ops Division, and may result in the miscreant being blindfolded and force-fed vast quantities of poutine. Consider yourselves warned. ®
