Activist ladyslapped by Wendi Murdoch, now in custardy

News Corp boss Rupert Murdoch was attacked by a protestor during a parliamentary hearing into the phone-hacking allegations at his sister company News International this afternoon.

The committee's public inquiry has been suspended.

Reports claim that a UK Uncut activist, whose Twitter handle is @JonnieMarbles, was the culprit who appeared to throw a plate containing shaving foam at Murdoch.

Moments before he tweeted the following:

"It is a far better thing that I do now than I have ever done before #splat".

Murdoch's wife, Wendi, could clearly be seen retaliating with a tasty left hook. ®
