HTC has confirmed reports that the HTC Evo 3D has been pushed back to September, two months from when initially proposed.
The news comes after Vodafone removed the Evo 3D from its 'coming soon' page and released a statement to say:
"Owing to the delayed launch of the device, we took the decision not to include the EVO 3D in our smartphone range."

It does seem a strange move. Surely it could just offer the device at a later date? Either way, HTC was quick to clear the air and said:
“We can confirm that the HTC EVO 3D will be available to UK customers through Carphone Warehouse from September 2011.”
The HTC Evo 3D runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the latest HTC Sense UI , all on a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It features a dimension-boosting 4.3in, 540 x 960 - aka 'qHD' - display, as well as twin 5Mp cameras geared for 3D snapping along with 720p video capture.
The HTC Evo 3D is available from September. Pre-register interest at Carphone Warehouse. ®
