Sony prices up PlayStation telly for UK

Sony has put a price to its PlayStation TV and confirmed it will come to Blighty this autumn.

The 24in active-shutter gaming 3D TV, first announced at E3 2011, brings with it a technology called "SimulView", allowing gamers to see two separate stereoscopic images, depending on which glasses they wear.

We reported recently how Amazon US was taking preorders and had the set down for a 31 December launch.

However, Sony dismissed this date, insisting the PSTV will hit stores in Europe during Q3.

The Sony PlayStation television will cost £499 and comes with two sets of 3D glasses, as well as a bundled game. ®
