Three touts 21.1Mb/s mobile broadband dongle
MiFi upgraded to HSPA+, 802.11n
Three UK is pitching a new 802.11n Wi-Fi enabled mobile broadband dongle, this one with HSPA+ technology on board capable of delivering download speeds of up to 21.1Mb/s.
The operator does not fully supports the tech yet, though it is aiming to roll out HSPA+ on 80 per cent of its network by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, you'll get a speed bump of about 40 per cent over what you get with any of Three's current 3G dongles and MiFi gadgets, it promised.
The new MiFi is the Huawei E586. It sports an OLED status display that also includes key WLAN info to help get devices on its network quickly. It also displays connection speed and the volume of data transferred.

As usual with Huawei dongles, there's a Micro SD card slot. And the new modem comes with a charging cradle.
The new MiFi will be available in September, price TBA. ®
