Woman nabbed for 'senseless' stiletto ATM attack
Cash rage case caught on CCTV
A 39-year-old woman was cautioned by police after she unleashed what officers described as a "senseless" attack on an ATM.
The woman, who has not been named, was caught on CCTV approaching the device in Market Place, Chippenham, removing one of her stilettos and striking the dumb beast almost 50 times with the pointy shoe.
The woman in the video, here, is seen trying to use the machine and swaying slightly before her attack, and also apparently backing off before giving it another go.
The keypad and screen were both damaged during her fist fusillade, which took place shortly after midnight.
Police said the woman has repaid the bank, Barclays, for the damage she caused.
The woman was identified and received a caution last week after police said they'd like to hear from anyone who recognised her from the CCTV, or who had any information relating to the incident in July. ®
