Ultimate flight-sim crashes into living rooms for 36 grand
Reach for the clouds
Flight-sim enthusiasts often spend fortunes building mock-up cockpits in their homes. But who needs to construct anything when you could simply buy one of these badass bubbles?
The OVO-4 Home Flight Simulator might sting the wallet - and then some - but it is, it's claimed, a fully enclosed flight simultator that moves and a set up to die fly for.
As well as being equipped with an array of levers, pedals, buttons and indicators, the OVO-4 throws in three 24in panoramic monitors, speakers and a vibration system, delivering a (moderately) realistic experience, turbulence and all.
It also rocks up with Microsoft Flight Simulator X installed, so all you have to do is fasten your seatbelt and prepare for takeoff.
Now if only you could find a few sexy stewardesses... Then again, if you have the cash to spend on one of these beauties, you can probably afford a high-class escort or two for a spot of role-play action anyway.
The OVO-4 Home Flight Simulator is available from Firebox for a eye-baulking £35,995. It'll take roughly three months to arrive, as testing and quality control is necessary, although an engineer will swing by to help set it up and offer full training.
The OVO-4 certainly appears to top the various flight-sim builds at this year's Campus Party in Valencia. ®
