Record numbers of readers flock to The Register
Hey Mister Tally man, tally me November
Site news The Register and its sister publications Reg Hardware and Channel Register climbed new heights in November 2011, bagging 46 million page impressions and 6.6 million "uniques" for the month. We now have a certificate to prove it.

That represents a lot of thought, planning and hard work by a talented editorial team, more than 20-strong.
Each year The Register submits its November log files to the independent Audit Bureau of Circulation for audit. 2011's results highlight a huge jump in US readership - with three million uniques, more than 50 per cent up on 2010.
The UK continues to lead the way in pages per person; our 1.5 million UK readers - about 24 per cent of those visiting the site in November - slurped up 42 per cent of page impressions.
Canada and Australia were also notable contributors, with ABC recording 328,000 and 197,000 uniques for the month.
In the UK the ABC audit is the de facto standard for measuring website size. For example, national newspapers offer their log files for ABC interrogation each month; and for ease of comparison they publish the outcomes at the same time. (The Press Gazette publishes a newspaper ABC run-down for November 2011.)
Britain's tech publications are more circumspect. Few websites in the sector submit their sites to regular external scrutiny, and even fewer make the results available to the public. ®
