Microsoft CRM to go browser and mobile OS agnostic

Chrome, Firefox welcomed, native iOS, Android and WP7 clients coming

Just weeks after Microsoft revealed SharePoint is now, and will forever be, more friendly to browsers other than Internet Explorer, the company has revealed that another of its enterprise applications will soon play nicely with others.

The software in question is Microsoft CRM, which is due a significant upgrade during the second quarter. When that new code is released it will, according to Thomas Gudman, Dynamics Lead for Australia, happily play with Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

The company also has native mobile clients for the application up its sleeve, with users of iOS, Android and Windows Phone all set to enjoy app-ified access to CRM.

Gudman also talked up Microsoft's ability to deliver CRM that bridges cloud and in-house implementations, arguing (as he is bound to do) that Microsoft's ability to run in both modes at the same time is jolly appealing to customers.

In concert with the new platform-agnsotic approach, Tudman emerged confident that Microsoft can continue to double – or better - the CRM industry's five percent growth rate.®
