Scrunched Street View spymobile spied in India
Have you tried turning it off and.. oh, forget it
Vid A brief vid has popped up on YouTube purportedly showing a pranged Street View spymobile in northern India.
The 22-second clip also features someone venting his spleen at the Great Satan of Mountain View by lobbing rocks at the wrecked Orwellian black Opel, as you can see in the above still.
This being YouTube, the resident conspiracy theorists have wasted no time in declaring the whole thing a fake. One "wmnguyen" is dismayed by the "terrible CGI work", in which "the perspective is wrong, the shadows are off angle, and the matte layer doesn't blend with the scene".
Judge for yourselves:
According to this blog post, the whole thing is 100 per cent genuine, as evidenced by this snap by one Pit Keller.
The Opel in question is fitted with a first-generation all-seeing eye, so we assume a Google SWAT team abseiled down from black helicopters shortly after the crash to rescue the driver and extract the slurped Wi-Fi data from the vehicle's onboard computer system. ®
