Facebook: We now have one million real admen stalking you. Huzzah..?

That's right, people are still using us ... bitch

Facebook claimed it has – for the first time – surpassed 1 million active advertisers who used the network in the last 28 days.

The company told Reuters that many small biz outfits were using Facebook to display ads.

However, the Mark Zuckerberg-run company, which is trying to bolster its sales, declined to tell the newswire how long it took to reach the 1 million milestone. Nor would it comment on how much revenue it was getting from small businesses.

Facebook’s small biz director Dan Levy said: "Most small business owners start off as Facebook users, then migrate to become page owners, and from there migrate to become advertisers."

Zuck's free content website derives the vast amount of its revenue from advertising. It reported ad sales of $1.25bn, according to the company's most recent financial report. That's 85 per cent of Facebook's total revenue during its first quarter of this year. ®
