Meet the 'KARDASHIAN Phone' – what Apple bods nicknamed the iPhone 5s
Kim has upgraded, sure, but has she upgraded her mobe?
Apple staff referred to the flashy new gold iPhone 5s as the "Kardashian Phone" during its development, a Cupertino source has claimed.
The "news" was first revealed by New York Times reporter Nick Bilton, who tweeted:
A source at Apple told me while they were making the gold iPhone it was referred to internally as "The Kardashian Phone."

Here at Reg Towers, we've been referring to it as the bling-phone, or the yob-phone, depending on who you ask. But by naming after the queen of pointless reality television, Apple may have revealed the exact demographic it is hoping to attract with the garish gold mobe.
Certainly, the phone's namesake seems to dig her new phone. She tweeted:
I love my gold iPhone 5 by http://t.co/x14clif7 -- thanks @boygenius http://t.co/4wxmwb7T
— Kim Kardashian (@KimKardashian) December 7, 2012
In her latest selfie, where she shows off her famous bottom, Kardashian did not appear to be using the phone which was named after her.
Neither did she appear to be using the gold mobe when snapped chatting on her phone at the wheel of her Mercedes-Benz G63. Could it be – gasp – she prefers her "old" phone?
More importantly, does the iPhone know her name? Apparently not, according to one tweeter, who wrote:
My phone just auto-corrected "Kardashian" to "lard assassin".
