I'm Godden outta here: Coraid's EMEA top dog joins upstart Zerto

Peter Godden floats from scale-out Ethernet into the clouds

Coraid's EMEA boss Peter Godden left the storage firm in December and has joined Zerto as its VP for EMEA.

Startup Coraid, which makes storage arrays accessed via the Ethernet AoE protocol, gained a new CEO, David Kresse, in September last year. Its previous CEO, Kevin Browne, is now a board member.

Godden joined Coraid in April 2012 as the EMEA VP, and was given the worldwide sales head slot in April 2013, according to his LinkedIn profile. It was reassigned to Keith Carpenter in October 2013, when he joined Coraid from Virident, which had been acquired by WD for its HGST subsidiary. This was after Kresse had become the CEO.

We hear two other top people have moved on from Coraid's UK office including sales guy Steve Hutchings, who also joined Zerto this month, and senior systems engineer Max Brown, who joined Pure Storage in December.

We have asked Coraid about this and a spokesperson said: "None of the recent changes on the UK team were layoffs. Pete Godden, who was our VP of sales for EMEA, decided to leave Coraid to pursue other opportunities. We remain committed to the success of our business in Europe.”

As far as we know, Coraid's business growth remains steady. ®
