Vulturization: 'Privacy' is fightin' words to cloud touters – they get angry

Plus: Canadians have figured out OpenStack ... surely the end is nigh?

Podcast The Register today starts a new podcast series Vulturization, hosted by yours truly. We're honoured to have as our first guests on the show Cloud A, a Canadian OpenStack cloud provider.

We explore what it's like to be a cloud provider in Canada, whether the NSA's rather liberal attitude to individual privacy has been a boost to their fortunes, and why they call themselves "the hat incinerators".

Being as these folks stand up OpenStack, I also took the time to find out what it's like to work with the community and whether it's really as much of a pain to work with as everyone claims.

Why did Cloud A choose it? Did it customise it? The answers to these questions and more are available in our first Vulturization MP3.
