Demon Internet goes TITSUP: Outage borks ancient ISP

Team dispatched to turn it off and on again

Updated Demon internet broadband users are currently unable to connect, with the company reporting a complete outage of its services.

The internet provider first reported problems at 08:43 this morning.

According to Demon, engineers have localised the issue and further engineers have been despatched to a network site.

"Our focus remains on restoring full service for our customers and whilst restoration of services progresses some customers may see intermittent disruption," said the company in a statement.

An automated message last updated on the company's status phoneline said: "Engineers and field engineers continue to work toward restoring services and have isolated the root cause of the issue and are undertaking restoration activities.

"Please rest assured this issue is being treated as a major incident and an update will be available after 12.30."



Since the publication this story, Demon has said that the update will only arrive after 13:45.
