Zip Style Method: Ten swanky laptop bags for her
Fashionably great
Proporta Stephenson Satchel
With retro style on trend, this classic satchel has been teched-up. The structured design fits 13-inch to 15-inch laptops and features a removable outer sleeve for an iPad and Bluetooth keyboard. I liked it for the support it gave when commuting by train or bus.
It's available in brown with tarnished brass buckles or navy with chrome buckles, with easy-open magnetic poppers. It has a detachable shoulder strap to carry under the arm but no top handle, which is a tad irritating. Fully waterproof, it’s made from faux leather which is why it’s fairly inexpensive and, like any homegrown Proporta product, it comes with a lifetime warranty.
Aspinal The Small Mount Street Tech
At least one indulgent recommendation was needed in this round-up but we’re not talking crazy-crazy prices like the new £995 Mulberry bag by Cara Delevingne, but the latest tech treat from UK brand Aspinal – the name hails from the streets of Mayfair.
For an extra £15 it can be customised with Aspinal’s monogramming service, if you like that sort of thing. Handmade from Italian calf leather, the bag is soft but structured in design, with a padded section to fit up to 17 inch laptops.
For the terminally extravagant, add another £100 and a hidden charger can be fitted to give two full battery charges for mobile or tablet on the go. Carry it by the tubular top handles or detachable shoulder strap – it’s the luxury business bag available in Black, Navy, Chocolate Brown, Smooth Mustard and Deer Saffiano.
