Biz wireless networks integrator and mobility managed services player Pervasive Ltd is the latest organisation to be crunched up by Capita's acquisition mill, The Channel can reveal.
The Berkshire-based company, which trades as Pervasive Networks and Beovax Computer Services, will sit within Capita’s IT Services division run by MD Peter Hands.
Pervasive sells Aruba, HP, CheckPoint and Fortinet to customers across a range of sectors including education, local government and health.
It grabbed a seat on the recently-launched education framework that is valued at up to £300m for the next four years, and already has a place on the the North Eastern Universities, JANET Routing and Switching and Crescent Purchasing Consortium agreements.
The deal, for an undisclosed price, adds a mobility specialism to Capita and further beefs up its storage and security turnover, following last year’s buys of Solid State Solutions and NTS, Capita said.
In the year to 31 March 2015, Pervasive made an operating profit of £2.07m, up from £1.12m in the prior year, on sales of £21.2m, up from £17.7m. Total services margin growth was 37 per cent.
Pervasive employs 76 people at offices in Newbury and Newmarket, but this may well be a few heads lighter once Crapita's integration kicks in. ®
