The Register and heise Launch Continuous Lifecycle Conference in the UK

Three days of deep DevOps in the heart of London

Reg Events The Register has joined forces with heise to bring the Continuous Lifecycle Conference to the UK, taking over 30 Euston Square from May 3 to 5, 2016.

Continuous Lifecycle London brings together the DevOps community’s leading thinkers and most switched on users to discuss the tools, techniques and strategies driving software development in the world’s fastest moving and most successful organisations.

The event will feature two days of high level seminars across three parallel tracks, while day three will feature a day of hands-on workshops led by industry experts for attendees who want to go even deeper on selected topics.

We are delighted to announce that DevOps guru Dave Farley will serve on the editorial board for the conference. He will be joined on the board by:

  • Andrew Cobley, senior lecturer in computing at the University of Dundee
  • Chris Jackson, director for platform delivery and operations at Pearson, the education giant
  • Anna Shipman, technical architect at the Government Digital Service
  • Julia Schmidt from heise Developer
  • Joe Fay, group editor of The Register

The DevOps community works hard and plays hard, and the event will feature the sort of hospitality The Register's readers have come to expect from its previous events, such as its CIO Roundtables and The Register Christmas and Summer Lectures.

“Continuous Lifecycle is the flagship of Heise Medien developers' conferences,” Heise Media CEO Alfrons Schräder said: “Topics such as DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and Containerisation represent the most sustainable change in today's software development industry.”

“Expanding our successful event business into the English-speaking world together with The Register therefore, is an obvious next step,” Schräder continued. “Both partners have a strong focus on the quality of content, a high credibility and the philosophy of the reader first.”

“No tech publication has as committed, knowledgeable and demanding a readership as The Register,” said Linus Birtles, CEO of The Register.

“Over the last two years, we’ve been increasingly connecting with our readers in the real world through intimate, highly targeted events. Now, by partnering with Heise we can bring a proven program of deep, technical content to even more readers.”

The website for the event is live, and the organisers have issued a call for papers, here. A detailed programme of 40 sessions and workshops will be announced in January, along with ticketing prices and packages.
