Hm, a scandal brewing, Kaiser? Healthcare giant buys How Kaiser Killed My Wife and other .coms

Insurance biz registers disturbing domains

Kaiser Permanente has embarked on a bizarre and macabre domain-name registration spree.

For reasons best known to the health-insurance giant, this week it cornered the market in dot-coms that profess to explain exactly how the company managed to murder those closest to you.

So whether it is your children, your father, mother, wife, husband, or grandparents, if you are looking to expose precisely how Kaiser killed them, you are going to have to look elsewhere since the California-based biz has nabbed the following:

HowKaiserKilledMyBabies.com
HowKaiserKilledMyBaby.com
HowKaiserKilledMyBoy.com
HowKaiserKilledMyChildren.com
HowKaiserKilledMyDad.com
HowKaiserKilledMyDaughter.com
HowKaiserKilledMyGirl.com
HowKaiserKilledMyGrampy.com
HowKaiserKilledMyGrandma.com
HowKaiserKilledMyGrandpa.com
HowKaiserKilledMyGranny.com.
HowKaiserKilledMyHubby.com
HowKaiserKilledMyHusband.com
HowKaiserKilledMyKid.com
HowKaiserKilledMyMom.com
HowKaiserKilledMySon.com
HowKaiserKilledMySpouse.com
HowKaiserKilledMyWife.com

Kaiser's net income jumped 15 per cent to $3.1bn this year, so it is not exactly poor, but you do have to wonder whether this was $1,000 well spent, especially when you consider what it says about the company, and the fact that if you take the word "how" off the wrong of the domains, many of them are still available to register.

So rather than wishing to set up a website outlining the method by which Kaiser killed your babies, why not go for the more direct "KaiserKilledMyBabies.com"? Yours for just $15.

Or if you are really attached to that "how", why not register HowKaiserKilledMyBabies under one of the 500+ new internet extensions?

Just last month, .family was added to the internet. That might work. Or what about .forum, .site, .online? A suitable one: .rip. Or perhaps the most useful in this context: .exposed.

Quite what set off Kaiser on this bizarre buying spree is unknown; it may have been inspired by teen songstress Taylor Swift who upon finding out that the man who taught her guitar was selling his services at "ITaughtTaylorSwift.com" suddenly felt compelled to register the domain "ITaughtTaylorSwiftHowToGiveHead.com".

As we note each time – and we are not making it up – Taylor Swift's lawyers registered "I taught Taylor Swift how to give head .com" apropos of absolutely nothing.

Compared to that level of domain paranoia, Kaiser's preemptive attempts to stop people outlining how it managed to bump off family members looks almost rational. ®
