Twitter signs Edward Snowden to write for them for free
Kremlin says nothing about what he can tweet, but knows where he lives
Former NSA sysadmin Edward Snowden, famed for leaking colossal quantities of secret government information to selected journalists, has decided to supply free content to microblurt advertising platform Twitter.
Increasingly comfortable in Russian exile, it seems - while reportedly still seeking asylum elsewhere - the one-time NSA contractor and Rector of the University of Glasgow, has already amassed almost 900,000 followers in his 24 hours on the site.
@Snowden follows only one account, the joint account of the National Security Agency and Central Security Service.
.@neiltyson Surveillance never sleeps, and secret projects @FreedomofPress are keeping me busy, but I still find time for cat pictures.

Snowden's profile states "I used to work for the government. Now I work for the public."
.@neiltyson, @DanielEllsberg told me #labels never stopped progress. Neither in 1776 nor today. [2/2] pic.twitter.com/CzRZ6ur6xc

The Register understands that Daniel Ellsberg isn't actually that old.
Edward Snowden has stated he will not return to the US as US authorities have not assured him of a fair trial, that being one in which he is given room to make a public interest defence. ®
