Apple quietly swaps out MacBook Retina displays to fix skin-peeling stains
Put the f**king lotion in the basket!
Apple has finally agreed to swap out "stained" Retina displays, months after ugly blobs of anti-reflective coating began peeling off of affected MacBooks that had cost fanbois more than $2,000 a pop.
Apparently, Apple will replace MacBook or MacBook Pro models with Retina displays that are afflicted by the "horrific stains" at no cost to the consumer.
Customers who bought the computers can reportedly return their MacBook within three years of the date of purchase or one year from 16 October 2015.
MacRumors noted that Apple won't be going public with its Quality Program. Instead, the onus appears to be on customers to contact the iMaker, if the coating of the Retina display on their MacBook is looking a bit like a sunburnt Brit back from his boozy Balearic ollibobs. ®
