HPE's private London drinking club: Name that boozer

Reader suggestions invited for IT party central moniker

Our recent shock exposé on plans by Hewlett Packard Enterprise to open a private drinking club in its new City of London HQ led to speculation as to what exactly the boozer might be christened.

To recap, a Reg reader spotted a licence application attached to the front of 1 Aldermanbury Square, on which the-then HP signed a 15-year lease earlier this year.

A quick trip to the premises (pictured above a couple of weeks back) confirmed the imminent opening of IT party central, but sadly with entry restricted to "employees, officers, guests and persons attending bona fide private functions".

Despite this outrage, we at El Reg have decided to do HPE a favour and provide a name for the establishment free of charge. Normally, such a task would be outsourced to a Strategy Boutique which, following weeks of whalesong-driven brainstorming, would come up with something like "The Ridiculous Rectangle" at a cost of $374m.

Well, we invite readers to submit alternative suggestions, the best of which we'll put to the traditional public vote to decide the overall winner. We'll then present the triumphant moniker to HPE at Aldermanbury Square and see if we can't squeeze a drink out of them, or at the very least a cup of coffee and some biscuits.
