IBM is to replace Sopra Steria as the BBC's supplier of outsourced finance, accounting and payroll, claiming victory in a four-way race.
Terms for the five year deal and numbers of staff affected, if any, are not disclosed. The incumbent supplier Sopra Steria has run the contract for 10 years.
The switchover to IBM will take place in November. There is an option for a two year extension.
