Amazon gets new courier

Commvault now supports Amazon’s Snowball service.

Amazon Snowball is the quaintly named US geo service (global availability - end-2016) where you send up to 80TB of data on a hard drive to Amazon and so enjoy courier-net (UPS, FedEx, etc) bandwidth which is vastly more cost-effective than some network pipes. You can request more than one disk from Amazon for larger data amounts.

It’s a logical move for Commvault which already supports Amazon's EC2, Elastic Block Store (EBS), Simple Storage Service (S3), S3 - Infrequent Access (Standard – IAS), and the Glacier archive service.
