Charter has finalized its $78.7bn acquisition of Time Warner Cable and Bright House.
The company announced on Wednesday that after months of legal wrangling with government regulators, the three-way merger deal to create the second-largest cable carrier in the US was now official.
As part of an approval deal with the FCC, "New Charter" will agree not to place data caps on customers and will cooperate with streaming media companies such as Netflix to maintain direct interconnects with its own fiber lines. ®
