Caringo updates Swarm

Caringo’s Swarm gets hierarchical data protection policies, historical metrics and usage metering.

The updated Swarm 8.1 object storage and cloud storage software has hierarchical data protection policies allowing users to set policies through Swarm’s UI or via an API across clusters, domains, buckets or objects. Features include erasure coding and replication factors, content lifecycle, and WORM enabling/disabling. Users have access to disk usage and activity, hardware statistics and operational counters to provide info’ about Swarm storage performance insight, using trend analysis from historical metrics. Metering provides usage data views with flexible queries for billing, show-back, and capacity planning. An embedded RESTful API provides integration into existing billing apps with access control for multi-tenant delegation. ®
