Walgreens drops Theranos

Embattled biotech startup Theranos has been dealt another blow as Walgreens is terminating its partnership for testing centers.

The drug store chain says that it will be ending the pilot program that has seen Theranos testing centers set up in 40 of its stores in Arizona. The Theranos centers have been offering blood test services.

Those services have since been called into question after a series of reports and findings that have led regulators to consider banning executives or even shutting down the company. ®
