Google dispatches monkeys

Google’s mega video service YouTube appears to be down for some and out for others.

Square-eyed netizens who trekked online for their a fix of cats are being confronted not with moving pictures but 500 internal server error warnings.

Others got blank screens, screens of text of messages and other messages saying an error had occurred.

The site seemed to start encountering difficulties offline around 12.30 UK.

Accompanying the error 500 warning was a message from Google’s video business stating: “A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation.” ®
