NES is back... for 60 bucks

Nintendo has come up with a new build of its iconic NES home console.

The re-issued NES is not so much a console as it is an emulator in a miniature NES housing. The $60 (£45) unit will not play Nintendo cartridges and can't be expanded beyond the 30 built-in titles. It comes with one controller (a second costs $10).

Those titles, are however, some of the most iconic games of the NES era. Along with all three Super Mario Bros titles, the box has Metroid, Castlevania Punch Out, and Tecmo Bowl installed.

It will go on sale November 11. ®
