Twitter suspends 235,000 'violent extremism' accounts

Twitter has announced it has blocked a further 235,000 accounts that promoted “violent extremism.”

The avian network's new report comes a week after it succesfully defended a case in which parents of a man slain by ISIS accused it of supporting terrorists.

Twitter says it's increasingly using automated means to identify and crush accounts that promote violence and terrorism and will, as of next year, detail those efforts in its transparency reports. ®
