OpenPOWER sees bright future
Rebel Alliance leaders report good progress
HPC blog I attended the OpenPOWER Foundation Europe Summit in semi-sunny Barcelona at the end of October. The event drew what looked like about 250 fans, which is a pretty good number since it was taking place at the same time as the OpenStack Summit at the neighbouring convention centre.
I filmed a bunch of the sessions and have posted them on my Gabriel Consulting Group YouTube page for you to peruse at your leisure. I’ll highlight what I think are the high points in a series of blogs that you can find right here on the The Register.
This first video is of the OpenPOWER Foundation (or as I call it the Rebel Alliance) head honchos opening the conference and talking about progress to date.
They reported on some very positive developments, including foundation membership surging to more than 270, the OpenPOWER ISV count topping 2,500 and available applications for the platform totalling 100,000.
See the video and stay tuned for more from the conference. ®
