One-day event promises to cover all angles

Got Tips?

Promo Whether you are an experienced techie or a newbie still mulling over the prospect of venturing onto the cloud, there will be plenty to sink your teeth into at the Amazon Web Services Summit taking place on 8 May at London’s ExCel.

The free one-day major event offers breakout sessions on the latest AWS cloud solutions, the chance to question AWS experts, hands-on training, an expanded solutions expo, and plenty of networking opportunities.

A wide-ranging educational agenda allows the knowledgeable to dive deep into their core topic and novices to start with the basics. All are presented by experts from AWS, its partners, or customers with experiences to share.

The scheduled topics include the following:

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML): learn how to identify use cases for ML, frame problems in a way management can understand.
  • Building ML models using Amazon SageMaker, an end-to-end platform that simplifies learning with pre-built algorithms and support for popular frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Apache MXNet.
  • Security: flexible identity and access management solutions are essential to protect applications and resources. Discover how AWS identity services can help.
  • Discover the latest AWS services solutions for detecting and dealing with security threats.

Developers are also invited to start their engines and compete in the recently launched AWS DeepRacer League, billed as the world's first global autonomous racing league and the fastest way to master ML.

Get behind the wheel of a 1/18th scale race car powered by reinforcement learning, an advanced ML technique that learns complex behaviours without any labelled training data.

You can experiment on the virtual car and tracks in the cloud-based 3D racing simulator before testing your model on the Summit’s physical track.

Alternatively, ask an AWS expert to help you build and train a model at a Summit workshop. Virtual time trials also take place monthly and are open to all levels of expertise.
