Wipro buys 4C worth of extra Salesforce expertise

Slurps quote-to-cash specialist to boost Cloud business unit that's already big with SAP and Oracle

Indian services giant Wipro has acquired Salesforce specialist 4C as it eyes expanding its operations in Europe.

4C is a one of the largest Salesforce partners in the EMEA region. The company has 350 employees across offices in London, Paris, Brussels, Copenhagen, and Dubai.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but India news outlets reported a figure of €68m.

"The team at 4C bring a rich blend of deep Salesforce expertise across multiple clouds coupled with a team of multi-faceted, multilingual experts with strong regional knowledge," said Harish Dwarkanhalli, president of Wipro's cloud enterprise platforms business unit, which also offers Oracle and SAP services.

"This combination along with Wipro's reach across the region and industry will help us become a dominant player in Europe and a leader in Salesforce's Quote to Cash domain."

4C CEO Johan Van Genechten said Wipro and his company have shared values, which should be good for business and his team's personal and professional growth.

Wipro also announced a new suite of 5G edge solutions today built using IBM infrastructure. The company says that the new solution is primarily designed for telco ecosystems and will offer customers better data control, reduced costs, faster insights, and costs, as well as more automated, secured operations. ®
