Does the cloud provide all the infrastructure you want yet never enough time to secure it? Let's help fix that

AWS shows you how to fit a week of cloud security learning into just four hours

Promo How does the cloud threat landscape look to you? As if security teams weren’t hard pushed already, chances are you’ve heard how bad actors have been taking advantage of 2020’s headlong rush to remote working.

Sure, you’d like nothing more than to take a few days away from the day job to get on top of the latest threats and how to battle them, as well as hearing about the cutting edge in good practice. But, how to make the time? Well, we hear you, and so do the folks at AWS – which is why they’ve put together AWS Cloud Security Week 2020, kicking off on October 26. The online programme will give you a taste of the current threat landscape, tips, tricks, and more. You can register for free right here.

Can’t take a whole week off? No worries, no one’s asking you to. This year’s event will consist of four content-rich yet digestible one-hour sessions over four days, each kicking off at 10am GMT (11am BST):

  • On Monday October 26, you can join Martin Vlok, Solutions Architect at AWS, who will be taking you through his Cloud Security and Compliance Basics.
  • On Tuesday, October 27, Stephen Mcdermid, Specialist Solution Architecture Team Lead, AWS, will be exploring Cloud Security Myths and Opportunities, as well as explaining the current cloud threat landscape.
  • Which will set you up nicely to count down the Top Ten AWS Security Tips on Wednesday, October 28, with Orlando Scott-Cowley, Senior Manager, Security and Compliance Business Acceleration.
  • The AWS Cloud Security Week wraps up on Thursday October 29 with Tim Rains, Regional Leader for Security & Compliance, who will take you through A Modern Approach to Patch Management and Automation.

So, you can take time out to extend your skills, safe in the knowledge that you’re still keeping the rest of your security operations humming along. All you need to do to access the full line-up of sessions is sign up here.
