Ad agency pays Net Queen Dyson $10,000 a day
Ad agency group WPP is paying Esther Dyson $10,000 a day for her consultancy services. She's a main board director and chairman of WPP's web business wpp.com.
Esther is also interim chair of ICANN, she has advised Bill Clinton, and is also chair of her own Net business EDVenture Holdings.
Dyson also gets directors' fees of £25,000 a year from WPP but works a few days a year as a consultant.

Brainspark - the Net-focused incubator business - has invested £900,000 in two businesses, it announced today. £400,000 is being ploughed into a global B2B rail industry portal; £500,000 is being invested in dance music and clubbing outfit, Que Pasa. To date, Brainspark has invested £9.9m in 16 companies and boasts cash reserves of £14 million with monthly recurring operating costs of £500,000. It is also going to establish a second incubator in Cambridge, dedicated to creating and growing technology companies focused on Net and mobile phone applications and infrastructure.
Japanese ISP, Fujitsu's Nifty Corp, and Deutsche Telekom's, T-Online, have teamed up to create what is believed to be the first reciprocal Net access and ebusiness agreement between Japanese and European ISPs. ®
